Dr. Lea completed her GP medical training in Edmonton in 1992 after starting in Saskatoon in 1985.
Following her training, Dr. Lee began her first years of practicing family medicine, imaging and obstetrics north of Prince George at Mackenzie B.C.
Later she worked on Vancouver Island in Shawnigan Lake for a few years before moving Prince Edward Island and then on to Ottawa Ontario.
Dr. Lea started her training in Addiction Medicine and received a certificate in Family Medicine where she returned to Prince Edward Island to do full time Addiction Medicine.
She worked with both inpatient and outpatient medical withdrawal and started Opioid Agonist Therapy.
In 2012 Dr. Lee was certified in Addiction Medicine through the American Board of Addiction Medicine.
After returning to Vancouver Island in January of 2019, Dr. Lea join the staff at Trew Beginnings’ Clinic.
As a committed and experienced physician whose interest has been focused in this field for ten years, Dr. Lea cares about her patients physical and mental health as well as their problems with substances.
